Description
An account of the resource
As a child, Colley did not excel at physical activities as his allergies made being outdoors difficult. Instead, he shined academically and earned his admittance to the illustrious Tuskegee Institute. Colley studied chemistry under George Washington Carver, graduating with high honors in 1941.
Although his career led him away from the field of chemistry and his home state of Alabama, Nathaniel remained active in Tuskegee’s Alumni Association for his entire life, often speaking at events and graduations.
